"Thanks For' is an e-mail plugin that lets the user send and receive personal messages of gratitude in a interactive and dynamic manner. This was a winning submission for the Open IDEO challenge, where the design prompt was to come up with a solution that would help in promoting gratitude in workplaces. This Plug-in helps users transform generic messages into unique visual expressions. 'Thank you' or 'Thanks' is perfunctory, but ‘Thanks for’ prompts individuals to create more personalized and specific expressions of gratitude. Users can compose, receive and store personalized expressions of gratitude in a fun and intuitive way. It uses flat colours, bold typography and playful interactions to build up a system that makes the user more grateful and happy.

As a team, we carried out user testing to understand how different users were percieving the different attributes and characteristics of the plug-in. Additionaly, by laying out a clear user-experience wireframe, we were able to showcase the navigation flow and different interactions in a more cohesive manner. The composition of the typography is dynamic as it adapts to the number of words being written in the message. There is an evident sense of hierarchy, a sophisticated use of the brand colours and an underlying structure for all the typography layouts that are a part of this system. Additionaly, the user can also print these messages out and put them around his/her workplace. A physical manifestation of these messages of gratitude can have its own charm and character.
