Where Mobility becomes a Progressive Force.

	Volkswagen Group’s transformation began with a name change – swapping ‘Aktiengesellschaft’ for ‘Group’ to signal clarity, cohesion and a global mindset. But the old identity still spoke in the language of the past. To reflect its shift from traditional automaker to tech-driven mobility leader, the Group needed a brand that could unite 12 marques, inspire 680,000 employees, and speak to investors, governments, NGOs and customers alike.The task? Create a bold new identity that resonates with the future and announces this change, while following the strategic mission closely. The change in name from Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft to Volkswagen Group was a pivotal starting point for this transition.Informed by the mission statement “Shaping Mobility for Generations to Come”, “Progressive Movement” emerged as the guiding principle, symbolizing fluidity, boundless potential, and a constant push forward. It became the core element for the vibrant new identity. The new distinct design system informed by the strategic vision, unlocks the power of design across all touchpoints and applications.

The newly created wordmark served as direct inspiration for the DNA of the font family. Distinctive features, such asthe rounded corner elements of “O”, the middle-bar of “K”, and the terminals of “S” were incorporated into the typeface and consistently developed further. It acts as a powerful and defining asset, projecting a strong brand image to the world and renewed sense of unity and inspiration internally. The typeface was developed in collaboration with Studio René Bieder. The new modular design system and assets leverage brand equity. This allows for flexible use across all physical and digital touchpoints.

	Kink Coffee is a specialty coffee "dark kitchen" based in Bangalore, India, focusing on ethically sourced, high-quality Arabica beans. They roast these beans in small batches to ensure optimal freshness and flavor, crafting custom blends that form the foundation of their signature offerings. Their curated farm-to-desk menu is designed to provide a no-compromise coffee experience.The entire visual identity is built around a custom lettering, with bold, fluid forms and a sense of continuous movement. The letters have a distinct volume and bounce, creating an engaging, dynamic look that feels energetic and memorable.

From packaging to digital touchpoints, this bespoke typography is the backbone of the brand — tying every element together with a strong, cohesive personality that’s unmistakably Kink.

Noise — Building India’s No. 1 Smart Wearable Brand.

	
	
	Noise India proudly represents a portfolio of smartwatches, audio gear, and health-tech solutions that resonate strongly with Gen Z and millennial consumers. In early 2025, it raised $20 million in a follow-on funding round from American audio company Bose Corporation, strengthening its foothold in one of the fastest-growing consumer tech markets globally. Its growth and investment by a global company is a testament to its growth that has put it at the forefront of the Indian landscape. India’s wearable industry is flourishing, and with this investment, the country’s market is anticipated to grow to the forefront with leading global brands. Back in 2020, I undertook the creative ask of designing, directing and crafting the new visual identity for the brand. Simple, sophisticated and functional, the new brand system embraces geometry and a flexible visual language to use across a number of formats and products. The icon can be used across different sizes and scales and the customized lettering for the logotype is designed to support or work independently.

Dr. Reddy’s —
Empowering India’s Pharma leader with empathy &#38;amp; care





	Following a brand rejuvenation exercise, Indian multinational pharmaceutical brand Dr Reddy’s identified communication design for packaging as a key touchpoint to reflect their new patient-first philosophy. A new all-encompassing structure was created to organise information. This enabled logical and usage-based clustering of a large volume of information that varies across the brand spectrum.
Variants of a product brand are commonly placed together in retail/storage formats. A new system of colour coding was designed to eliminate errors in identifying variants within a product family, by assigning a distinct colour to the variants. A new system of product icons helps users in product identification and understanding package contents. A custom, detailed language for instructional illustrations helps patients with varying levels of literacy correctly administer and use products. Condensed variants of the brand font were commissioned to allow for clearer readability at smaller type sizes, especially for small pack sizes.

With deeper inquiry into the usage of packaging, we created a fine-grained distinction of the primary user into categories of (1) Patients (2) Stockists &#38;amp; Pharmacists and (3) Medical Professionals. This new typology of users, each with their own distinct requirements, was used to create a first level of classification for communication design, leading to relevant customisation of information and visual design. For example, for secondary packaging with stockists as primary user, product identification was given high priority on all surfaces given the cluttered storage conditions seen at warehouses.
The Schedule-H packaging communication system for Dr Reddy’s is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, distinguished by its user-centric clarity in a cluttered, brand-led market. Its success has led to adaptation across Dr Reddy’s 40+ global markets.

	Snitch is a fast-growing men's fashion brand in India, founded in 2020. Known for its trendy, affordable clothing and accessories, the brand offers a wide range of products, including apparel, shoes, bags, perfumes, and sunglasses. Snitch has quickly expanded across India with 47 stores and a strong online presence through platforms like Myntra, Amazon, and its own website. As the creative lead, I crafted the visual identity, overseeing the design direction and brand guidelines. The creative idea stems from the idea of contrast that is reflected by the logo’s combination of a sleek, thin symbol and a bold, strong wordmark. This duality reflects Snitch's dynamic, modern spirit, capturing the essence of individuality and bold fashion choices.

This idea of contrast extends beyond the logo to every design element. The use of contrasting backgrounds in photography becomes a simple yet effective tool to reinforce the brand’s unique style, creating strong visual impact and clarity. The typography as well plays key role in bringing contrast to life. The typeface (New Hero) was chosen specifically for its ability to balance bold, uppercase headlines with sophisticated body copy. This mix allows for scale and drama ensuring the brand feels both strong and refined. On a more micro level, the creative concept continues to shine through with the use of bold, impactful forms paired with thin, sleek lines. Whether static or in motion, this balance enhances the modern, dynamic nature of the brand. 
	The visual expression is designed to be responsive focusing on ample white space, engaging imagery, and sleek UI elements. This consistency ensures that the brand maintains its striking contrast across all platforms and touchpoints.

	With a presence across three cities, one studio, and 20 nationalities, Landor Germany thrives on the power of diversity and culture. I wanted to reflect this spirit through a creative expression. The answer lied in the most fundamental form of communication — letters. I invited everyone at Landor Germany express their personality through a simple hand-drawn letter. After countless scans, refinements, and vectorizations, these individual contributions were crafted into a one-of-a-kind typeface: Made From Many.More than just a typeface, this project represents the studio's shared creativity and cultural diversity. Landor Germany continues to celebrate this collective belonging in a variety of forms, always reflecting the unique spirit that defines who they are.

	MFA Thesis — A toast to journeys, inspiration and conversations



	My final thesis project at the Maryland Institute College Of Art (MICA) for the Graphic Design MFA investigates the positive role of an experience in today’s world and as a potential tool to consider while approaching a design problem.By taking upon the role of a curator, planner and designer, I looked at the format of a festival/conference/event to provide a platform for the Asian and middle-east design community working in the USA. This provided these designers an opportunity to share their unique insights and connections between their culture and their work.
Titled Toast—International Design Festival, The event took place on 15 February 2019 for the Graphic design community at MICA.

The visual identity for the festival was based on a handmade typeface that I created. The letterforms reflected a path that was unique and reflected the idea of a journey. I went ahead to create a display typeface using this tool that ultimately became the core element across all my brand applications. I scanned each character, cleaned and tweaked them digitally and then finally vectorized them so that they could be used on large scale applications seamlessly. I was also able to create contextual alternates for several characters. This was an efficient tool to break the monotony and still retain the genuineness that comes from hand-crafting letterforms.

Documenting an event is another project in itself. I hired photographers and videographers to document every little detail of the event. These photographs and images manifested in a small publication that I created. Titled, ‘Post–Toast’, this tabloid format publication showcased some of the highlights from the event.&#38;nbsp;This became a design piece that perfectly captured the different interactions of the event on paper, especially for someone who couldn’t attend the event.It became an effective way to share and discuss my project with anyone. I printed multiple copies and was able to send one to all the speakers as well.
